Color creating

Creating with colors is my daily job and the flowers are both the tool and the canvas. I paint with the stems and create little “pictures” of floral beauty and scent - and instant joy.

From an early age I started expressing myself creatively, but I went through many “outlets” before I landed on my favorite source, flowers. I have had 3 flower shops in Copenhagen before I opened Blomst LA, my little studio in the nest of our garden. I enjoy the variety of orders coming through my website, phonecalls, word to mouth, and I take great pride and joy in fulfilling the wishes of my dear clients.
If you feel creative and want to express yourself with flowers start with making tableaus in your home. Choose different vases and arrange a variety of flowers in each, creating a still, that looks natural and wild, but still pretty simple and calm. Choose a group of vessels and vases in different sizes but make sure they are of the same look or material like glass or porcelain, this creates a calm unit and a canvas for you to work on. Place them at a table, in a window, on a bench, let them face outwards so they are seen from one side. Then add flowers in different heights and of different textures but make sure the colors match. Use natural blooms from garden, balcony, the flower market or the supermarket or go forraging in nature, where it is allowed.
