The LOVE & Inspiration of Native America

The LOVE & Inspiration of Native America

California is a big love. LA is an enormous love. The history of Southern California
& The Wild West is a very deep inspiration and I can never learn enough about the
beautiful people, who were here before us. I admire their culture & craftsmanship
and I receive endless inspiration and creativity by learning more and more about
their culture from books, bead work, art, paintings, museums, flea markets, my local
plant nursery and by being right here in Los Angeles, California.
We live with original items in our home and we use them. Vintage NAVAJO rugs, beaded
pieces of art, baskets, paintings, fabrics and furniture. It's a big inspiration being sur'
rounded with this soulful beauty every day.

Skirt found in my favorite vintage shop on Melrose (see previous blogpost).
Original collector's piece: A vintage Smoke bag with handmade bead work by a Dakota
Indian. It's my husband's and I look at it hanging in our home, every day.

I love this pretty braded bracelet found on Silverlake Sunset Junction in a shop, now
